Stunningly, I found no signup/welcome bonus at this casino. That's a sure point against them. 49er Online Casino's ongoing promotions/bonuses seem to be limited to a (what I consider ethically sketchy) Vote-for-Us Bonus and their admittedly wonderful loyalty program. Vote-for-Us gives $15 to each person that votes for 49er in any of Gambling Online Magazine's "Best of" categories, plus an additional $10 if 49er Casino actually wins in a category for which you gave it your vote. 49er Online Casino participates, along with Omni, Caribbean Sun Poker, and 3 Diamonds Casinos, to name a few, in the Peak Rewards comp program, rated Best Rewards Program last year by Gambling Online Magazine.

Software & Graphics
49er's games, all of them, run on Cryptologic Software. This isn't one of my favorite programs, but neither is it a bad one. The interface is clean, navigability is smooth. It's just that I find their 3D graphics bordering on 2D, and the sounds made me think of my old Nintendo. Their small No Download casino uses Java (not Flash), and contains all of 8 games. And a quick tip: Cryptologic payouts are the highest on Video Poker and Blackjack - in fact among the highest in the industry.

8 progressive jackpots, 14 slots, 8 video poker "machines", and 15 table games, at last count. The best games in my opinion are their multi-player games: Baccarat, Blackjack, Progressive Carribean Stud Poker, Let it Ride and BOTH European and American Roulette. Of course, single player versions of all these games (but for Carribean Stud) are also available. Betting limits range from $0.25 to $1,000 per hand/round. A multi-player poker room is accessible from the site to, through an affiliation with CS Poker.

49er Casino offers optional Bettor's Insurance, allowing players to receive 10% cash back on all losses - pretty neat, huh? Their publicly posted payout percentages (say that 5 times fast) average 97.8%, but be sure to review the table yourself, as there is wide variation between the low and high ends of the range - for example, in February '05, Red Dog paid out 27.27% (ouch!), while Rags to Riches the following month paid out 117.47% (sweet!). They use eCash direct to manage financial transactions, a company that insures all accounts up to $100,000 each.
