Probably the least appealing quality of the elegantly designed Grand Riviera Casino is the total absence of a signup/welcome/1 st deposit bonus. Yes, sure, they promise up to $100 for each friend you refer to the casino (bonus based on referral's 1st deposit), but without a signup bonus it feels a bit like a pyramid/affiliate marketing scheme. Aren't they supposed to be working for me, and not the other way around? Don't get me wrong; I like referral bonuses. Just not in place of signup bonuses. On a more positive note, GrandRiviera recognizes many of PlayTech's fabulous monthly bonuses, including a 15% cash-back bonus on losses. Lastly, Grand Riviera offers a mediocre comp points program and occasional weekly "surprise" bonuses.

Software & Graphics
PlayTech software is one of my absolute faves. The playability is smooth, clean, quick, and user-friendly. The graphics and sound simulate land-based casino sights and sounds better, I'd argue, than any of their online peers.

Games
GrandRiviera's over 60 fully-insured games include a slot machine that pays out $1 million. Their "Specialty Games", beyond Keno and progressive MegaBall - the two most commonly found at most online casinos - is Derby Day, a virtual horse-racing game. Adding to the action are 4 live games and a bunch of multi-line video poker and multi-reel, multi-line video and regular slots. There's plenty to play here; that's for sure.
